Wing Zone is
one of the nation's fastest-growing takeout/delivery chains — known for its 15
award-winning flavors of fresh, cooked-to-order chicken wings and fingers,
chicken sandwiches, burgers and more. The Wing Zone concept was launched in 1991
in an unlikely setting – a fraternity house kitchen. Despite Wing Zone’s humble
birth, its concept targets a pressing need in the marketplace: serving
high-quality, cooked to order food, available for takeout, delivery and
dine-in. Wing Zone currently operates nearly 100 successful franchise locations
in 25 states and boasts chain sales of more than $46 million, making it one of
the hottest franchise opportunities around.
While Wing
Zone is proud of its past, the company is focused on the future. Interest in
Wing Zone has significantly “heated up” since it has been covered on the Food
Network’s “Roker on the Road” and ESPN's "Cold Pizza", as well as included
in Inc. magazine’s list of “500
Fastest Growing U.S. Private Companies”, Entrepreneur
magazine’s “Franchise 500” and Franchise
Times’ “Fast 55”. Wing Zone is currently seeking franchisees for single-unit,
multi-unit and area development opportunities available in many areas across
the nation.
Investment
Required
The
fee for a Wing Zone franchise is $25,000 with a reduction of $5,000 for current
franchisees.
Wing
Zone provides the following range of investments required to open your initial
franchise. The range assumes that all items are paid for in cash. To the extent
that you choose to finance any of these expense items, your front-end
investment could be substantially reduced.
On-going
Expenses
Wing
Zone franchisees pay royalty fees equal to 5% of gross sales, advertising fund
fees equal to 1.5% of gross sales and a marketing development fee equal to 0.5%
of gross sales.Additional fees include
required advertising expenditures equal to 3.5% of gross sales annually ($2,000
per month minimum) and monthly telephone charges.
What You Get—Training
and Support
Franchisees attend an in-depth orientation
class that provides detailed information and resources necessary for opening a
new restaurant.In addition, all
franchisees, along with key management personnel, attend a comprehensive,
twelve-day training program at Wing Zone University in Atlanta, GA. This
program covers operational, marketing and management training and provides the
knowledge needed to operate the Wing Zone business system. Franchisees are
involved in a combination of classroom learning and in-store training. Wing
Zone offers a series of online training modules to teach front-line employees
the core values of the Wing Zone system. These modules provide instant
connectivity to Wing Zone procedures, brand message and corporate principles.
When
a new restaurant is set to open, members of Wing Zone’s franchisee support team
travel to the location three days prior to opening. The support team provides
on-site assistance by helping franchisees manage business activities for the
first seven days of restaurant operations. Franchisees receive direct support
from the team to ensure proper staff training and a smooth start-up. Franchise
Business Consultants provide continual assistance in all aspects of a
franchisee's business from daily restaurant operations to strategic local store
marketing plans.
The Wing Zone Intranet system provides constant communication between
franchisees and members of the corporate team. It ensures that franchisees have
the most current information regarding operational procedures, promotions and
other business communications. Wing Zone also provides assistance in market
analysis/demographic research, site selection, lease negotiation, construction/design
plans and zoning/permitting.
